Petitgrain essential oil is derived from the bitter orange tree, which has a long history of use in traditional health practices. Historically, Petitgrain essential oil was used for cleansing purposes. Petitgrain is widely used in the perfume industry and gives body sprays, fragrances, lotions, and colognes a fresh, spicy note that is popular with both women and men.
Petitgrain oil has a sweet yet sharp aroma with subtle floral and woody characteristics. It blends particularly well with citrus, floral, and woody oils.
Petitgrain will stimulate feelings of joy and courage when facing a challenge and will help promote hope and calm.
