Use: for external use only (never ingest), suitable for use in a fragrance burner/diffuser, diluted in a fragrance-neutral carrier oil in a (foot)bath and on the skin (undiluted essential oil can irritate sensitive skin). 

Niaouli essential oil is not the most pleasant-smelling essential oil. However, what it lacks in aromatic appeal is more than made up for by its therapeutic benefits. It is an excellent choice for use in cases of respiratory problems, skin infections, and acne. 

Aromatically, Niaouli essential oil is generally not considered a pleasant essential oil. The aroma is camphoraceous, earthy, and somewhat harsh. It is never a good idea to form an opinion about the aroma of an essential oil by simply smelling it directly from the bottle. 

The analgesic property of this oil makes it a very good pain reliever. It eliminates pain by causing numbness in the nerves and desensitizing the area. It is highly effective in relieving pain from headaches, migraines, toothaches, earaches, and muscle and joint pain, as well as pain caused by sprains. 

This oil stimulates the circulation of blood and lymph, thereby preventing the accumulation of uric acid in the joints and bringing warmth to various parts of the body. These two factors together help relieve rheumatism, arthritis, and gout. 

Open wounds are susceptible to infection, as bacteria, fungi, and other microbes have a very good chance of entering the bloodstream through these wounds. Bacteria are also found in the urogenital tract, colon, prostate, intestines, and kidneys, and cause infections of the urethra and other sensitive parts of the body. 

Thanks to its antiseptic properties, Niaouli essential oil can inhibit bacterial growth in these areas and provides good protection against sepsis, tetanus, and infections of other internal organs.
