This Cajeput essential oil is used to relieve colds, headaches, and toothaches. It is highly effective in combating bacterial, viral, and fungal infections, such as tetanus (bacteria), influenza (virus), and other infectious diseases.
Cajuput oil is highly effective at killing and repelling insects. Its insecticidal properties are so powerful that the diluted solution can be sprayed or diffused using a diffuser to repel mosquitoes, ants, and many other types of pests from rooms. A diluted solution of cajuput oil can also be rubbed on the body to repel insects.
Like eucalyptus oil, cajuput oil also has anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties. Therefore, diffusing the scent provides immediate relief for a stuffy nose, throat, and other respiratory issues, as well as for coughs, infections, and resulting throat inflammation.
It is analgesic in nature, meaning it reduces pain. For topical application, such as on an infected tooth for a toothache or rubbed on the forehead for a headache. Apply only in highly diluted solutions.
