This pure Frankincense essential oil is steam distilled from the resin of the Boswellia carterii tree, of the Burseraceae family, and is also known as Olibanum. The word is derived from the French frank, meaning rich, and was, along with myrrh, the first resin gum used as incense. The tree is native to the Middle East and is said to occur in natural bonsai form in that arid land. Frankincense is said to symbolize divinity.
This oil is most popular in aromatherapy for its calming properties. It is said to help heal wounds and prevent scarring. It is used in cosmetics to firm the face, remove wrinkles, and prevent striae (stretch marks). Frankincense essential oil has been used to reduce anxiety, stress, asthma, bronchitis, laryngitis, and cough. It is a general tonic for the uterus, has a calming effect during childbirth, and helps relieve heavy menstruation. It is especially useful during meditation. Avoid during pregnancy.
Ancient Egyptians burned Frankincense as sacred incense and used it as a face mask. They grind the burned resin into a powder called kohl, which is used to accentuate the eyes. Eyes outlined with kohl are often seen in Egyptian art. The earliest mention of the use of incense was found in a tomb inscription from the 15th century BC, belonging to the Egyptian queen Hatshepsut. It was used to disinfect the sick and to banish evil spirits.

Your order will be processed on the same day during office hours. Deliveries are usually made from Monday to Friday. In most cases, orders placed on Fridays are processed and shipped on Monday.
Shipping costs
Orders over €50 are shipped free of charge within Europe. For orders under €50, we charge a fixed shipping rate of €4.95 for deliveries within Europe. Shipping costs for deliveries outside Europe are always €19.95.
Repurposed packaging
There is already a huge amount of packaging in circulation worldwide. Orders from pranina.com are therefore packed in existing packaging that is reused. This means we do not introduce any new waste into circulation.
The reused packaging is not always perfect, but we consider reducing waste much more important than having a beautiful shipping box.
Delivery & processing times
After placing your order, the products will be shipped within 1 to 3 business days. The products are shipped from our European warehouse in Slovakia. Delivery times within Europe may vary. Delivery to the Netherlands and Belgium usually takes within 6 business days.

We will keep you informed during the shipping process via email notifications. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with your package's tracking number. You can use this number to track the shipment with the delivery company mentioned in the email.
