Aromatherapy / Essential oils
Aromatherapy refers to a range of traditional, alternative or complementary therapies that use essential oils and other aromatic plant compounds. Essential oils have been used for over 6,000 years to improve a person's physical and mental well-being.
Aromatherapy is a complementary therapy. It does not cure diseases, skin rashes or conditions, but it can support the conventional treatment of various conditions. It has been established that a number of essential oils possess antimicrobial (targeting pathogens), antiviral (effective against viruses), antifungal (fungus-killing), insecticidal (insect-killing) and antioxidant properties to varying degrees.
Aromatherapy can be applied through massage, topical use and inhalation. However, users should be aware that "natural" products are also chemical substances, and that they can be dangerous if used incorrectly.
The descriptions of the essential oils are provided by the manufacturer.
